What Models Really Know About Skincare w/ Tatiana Goller
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Women idolize models. Most of us assume they know every secret there is about skincare, makeup, and staying flawless. But the reality behind the runway is far more human, and far more useful.
In this episode, I talk with Tatiana Goller, international model of 26 years, now a Berlin-based skin practitioner and co-founder of theFaceFace. Tatiana came to skincare the hard way: through her own struggle with perioral dermatitis, flaring under the relentless makeup, travel, and stress of fashion week life, and made worse by the beautiful, expensive products she was buying with no idea how to actually care for her skin. We talk about what really stresses model skin, why sensitivity is the most common concern behind the scenes, and how the industry is finally shifting from flawless youth toward real personality and natural aging. Tatiana shares how she rebuilt her own skin, why sun protection has been her non-negotiable since age 14, and the simple, science-based routine she now recommends to every client. A warm, honest conversation about beauty, aging, and why your skin deserves expertise over hype.

One of our most beautiful skin practitioners and beautician, Tatiana Goller, who practice and runs her own business in the capital of Germany.
SPEAKER_00Hi Tatiana, how are you? Hello, dear Tina. Nice to see you. Thank you so much for your invitation. I'm very well. I have to say that I'm a little bit worried because for me it's the first time, and I'm very excited, but first time to record podcast. It's a new experience for me because, as you know, I've been a lot in front of camera as a model from another professional. But to speak in the camera and talk about some teams as an expert, it's something new for me. So I'm excited, but at the same time, I am asking to excuse also my English because it's not my first language.
SPEAKER_01Please don't be nervous. Everything will be fine. And actually, English is an international language. And you are an international model. So you know a lot about visual art, about camera, and you have a lot of experience, much more than most of our skin practitioners, beautician, more than myself, certainly. And it is so exciting that while I also said that you are one of our most beautiful skin practitioners, because you look so gorgeous every time on socials and in the conferences, and how it happened when professional international fashion model started your own business as a beautician.
SPEAKER_00Thank you, Tina. It started as a beautician. I started about eight years ago, and I actually went from my own problem from the scheme. I've been working as a professional model for the last 26 years. This year it's exactly 26 years. Oh my gosh, last year it was the anniversary. Yes, that's true. And as the most of the people come to this profession, I believe, either because, well, I mean, we all period therapists, we love what we do. We love experience with our clients, we love to see happy women, to see how they see themselves differently after treatments. But I came from another side because I had a problem with my skin, and I wanted to know what exactly happened, why, and how can I change that? Because dermatologists were given to me the most of the time creams is cortisol, which I could use a very short period of time, and after one week I should stop, and my pereal dermatitis would come back to me. Because actually, as a model, I had no clue how to correctly clean my skin, how to take care of it. Okay, I was buying very nice brands most of the time in the duty-free or somewhere in the big shops, but I just looked at them and I see I like the price, I like the smell, and I like it was saying anti-wrinkles or anti-aging, like most of the girls would think. But some of them would not only help me with my skin, but would actually make even more damage, which I didn't realize back in the time. And I remember that point when I was working as a model four days a week for one client in Berlin. And I saw that my skin around the mouth, it was becoming more and more sensitive, more and more irritated each day. After I was coming back home, I would take off makeup and I would see it's something's happening, kind of itchiness, and I wouldn't understand what's going on. What do I do wrong? And next morning, the new makeup parties, the new makeup, they will apply and it will become even more sensitive, even more irritated. And at one point it became so bad that I had to call my agency and cancel the next thing. Oh my god, because it was just very red, irritated, and I couldn't touch my skin. So I had to run to the dermatologist, which prescribed me cortisol cream, and said, like, use about one week and then stopped. Okay, I did that, and uh everything was becoming more or less nice back to my skin, but uh I still I felt like it's not recovering very well, it's not becoming uh less sensitive as before I used to have. So it was continuous about a few months, and back in my mind, I always had an idea what I can do besides modeling, you know, because uh I remember when I was 16 or 17, the mother of my friend, who was also model once, she met me and she said, So are you still doing modeling? And what is your plan for the future? You know that you cannot be model all your life. Oh, look at May Mask.
SPEAKER_01It's not May Mask only. The world is changing.
SPEAKER_00Yes, yes, and I'm amazed by that, and I'm loving it. I love both of my professions, and it's incredible because still at my age now, when I'm 42, I'm actually even more successful than back in the days when I was 16. And that's also because the world we're living in is changed. Finally, it's about beautiful aging, yes?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and it is about personality, more than about useful freshness, right?
SPEAKER_00Yes, and funny enough, you know, like one of my last work, which I got, it was um for pretty big brand, I would not say yet, because it's coming still in August. It was a collaboration, and I was in Paris during the fashion week. I got this request asking me to make an e-casting because during corona time everything changed as well. We're just doing uh self-casting, self-uh video. It's not only us. In fashion business, you're going online as well. Yes, it's all about online now, actually. Yes, indeed. Like uh in Germany, since Corona, we barely have uh offline castings, the most of them online. So I got requests for this brand, and they said we have this like 20, 30 people already we like, we pre-select, but now they ask our agents, can you ask them to record a short video introduction, but not only as a models, but what do they do on their site as another work and talk more about it? So, of course, I was talking about my business, about that I'm a beauty therapist, about well-aging, that what I'm doing, how I'm helping girls to embrace themselves, to love themselves, to look natural, to not change themselves in this world. And while I was doing the e-casting, afterwards I got the job. And I was very proud of myself. I was like, wow, I was amazed that for the first time now I got a job, not because I'm looking pretty, but because I'm doing something else. And this is the most of the time right now in fashion, they want to see not only pretty face, they want to see real persons, what people are doing besides being models, and what is in their mind, what do they think, what they talk about, what are their habits, or what are their hobbies. This is all very important.
SPEAKER_01That's such a great change, and I think it's so important for everyone because all this obviously we are all still in awe about top models of the 90s. Absolutely. But when you are thinking if Cindy or Claudia or Naomi, if they really love this perfume or this cream, most of the reasonable people, they understand that probably not. And now that's a new tendency, which I, as a brand founder, I embrace it completely. To show real women, beautiful and passionate and professional who really love your products. And obviously, once again, being brand founder, when people are saying then you should get people from the street, they don't understand what they're speaking about. I am the people from the street. I am impossible in the photo shoot. You will spend hours and hours take from me one decent photo. Unfortunately, because I don't know how to do it. It's a real profession. But in the same time, I think it's so great that professional models, they now you can be yourself. I think it's such a great change for everyone.
SPEAKER_00But I think that's also the reason why we see more celebrities at the moment in the perfumes. We don't see I barely see models now. Back in the days I was passing by them. Oh I just came back from Madrid. And in Madrid they have a lot of campaigns advertising. And the perfumes, there was Rihanna, there was Julia Roberts, there were some other celebrities. I haven't seen even one model. So it all goes more to yeah, different direction about personalities.
SPEAKER_01I think that's uh it's a good change. And also, if I'm speaking about models, I know and I'm sure because I spent uh like almost 20 years of my life practicing and meeting real clients, real customers, speaking with them. And women idolize models. And actually, almost every woman they think that models know better. Any model from the podium? She knows better everything about fashion, about skincare, about makeup. They can give an advice. But you being model, you meant this problem of the perioral dermatitis, and I know it's quite typical, unfortunately, for models. What uh is uh common skin concerns in model world? Sensitivity probably?
SPEAKER_00I would say sensitivity, yes, because of different makeup, but not also because of the makeup, because of the lifestyle, but on the way that um the skin is very stressed, especially during the fashion weeks, because the girls they travel from New York back to Europe, and every week they in different cities, and they have a lot of different shows, again, different makeup, the time of zone changes, so lack of sleep, and then sometimes they also being invited to some brands to celebrate their shows or after party or something. I know the most of the professional girls they probably will escape, but the most of the problems would be yes sensitivity because of the lifestyle, lifestyle, yes.
SPEAKER_01It's a hathack in Moldova.
SPEAKER_00That's exactly what happened actually to me in Paris again this week after last season, after five years of perianal dermatitis remission, it was flaring up because from Milan I went to Paris, it's stress, lack of sleep, airplanes, so it's a dry air. And then I was also mentioning to you once I was passing by through the duty fray, which was like a horrible experience for me with getting a lot of irritation, and uh work, different makeup every day as well.
SPEAKER_01And also the stress, and uh, I think in the model world it's very specific because casting that's literally means that you are being judged by people all the time, and it's a vulnerability.
SPEAKER_00Yes, absolutely. Also, you know it's changed a little bit in a good way after all these years, and a little bit on the way which is I find it more stressful, because before you gonna walk the show, it will be requested only casting, it will be PECA, then it will be fitting, and after all these five different points, you might walk the show or not. And in every of this level, the people might counsel you. So I think it's very difficult. Like back in the days it was from the beginning. You come to the casting, then they say yes or no, but now you can go in through different five stages, and you should keep the spirit mile, you can and you should keep it everything as as you are.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's so interesting because it's actually the beautiful illustration to the simple truth. Then skincare is just the part of your skin health. And uh, you know well, then in each conference, I'm speaking about the skincare pyramid showing this muscle pyramid of skin needs, and the foundation of the pyramid is not a skincare, and obviously not injections or lasers or surgery. The foundation is uh good sleep, physical activity, stress control, and nutrition. And are you speaking about it with your clients?
SPEAKER_00Yes, absolutely. I talk about it because I'm working online and offline, and most of the times I have the concerns what they are wanting, what is bothering them. And uh, of course, I'm always talking, asking them what is the stress level they have, or if they are physically active, do they do any sport, do they have any hobbies, and what about the water intake? Because the most of the people they think if they drink coffee or five cups uh of tea during the day for them, it's enough, which we we know it's not true. So I'm always trying to talk about it and uh explain why it's necessary to do all those steps and how they will see input on them on their skin conditions afterwards.
SPEAKER_01Yes, it is so important and that very important to speak about it with clients. And I suppose then you have models clients as well, but you are not model skin practitioner.
SPEAKER_00I have a few, yes, indeed. Few I do, and not only models, but also it's more interesting because I have more, I guess, makeup artists.
SPEAKER_01I think because you understand better than many of us the needs. And they have also hectic lifestyle, professional makeup artists.
SPEAKER_00Yes, and also I think because let's say all my life I was lucky enough. I didn't have as a teenager acne. I never went to beauty therapist until I became one because I had a problem. But I think the makeup artists they see the girls every day, they see the different skin conditions. And now lately, I think they were comparing when they worked with me because some of them they knew me 10 years earlier, and they say my skin condition is better now than 10 years ago. From what I see. Oh now you are the professional.
SPEAKER_01Now they book appointment with me.
SPEAKER_00Yes, yes, and um yes, they just want to understand as well what they are doing correctly or what they can recommend for their clients. Because you know, like when they do the makeup, the most important, as we can see lately from Metgala or from all other big events in America, all celebrities are posting, it's not about makeup any longer. It's uh it's all about beauty therapists to whom they went before to prepare their skin. Yeah. So if you wanna look glowing, that your skin is well hydrated and looks beautiful on the picture, it's not about makeup any longer. It's all about your skin quality.
SPEAKER_01It's a new makeup artist signature, the skin glow.
SPEAKER_00Yes, I've seen the some makeup as well, skin glow, but for how long does it stay? Yeah.
SPEAKER_01It's so interesting. And uh it's really your based your experience became the real foundation for your new profession. And when you've been looking for the education, was it difficult?
SPEAKER_00You know, I've been looking for a few courses uh just to compare what's happening, and some of them they were promoting just for two, three months education, and then it's enough. But I had an amazing experience because uh for the weekend I went with my husband to the hotel the spa, and when I went to that spa, I had a beautiful experience. So I asked the practitioner there, what will she recommend? And she recommended just after, yeah, because I liked it, you know, because I liked the atmosphere, the service, the way she was looking, the what she did. I just felt very comfortable, but in the same way that she knows exactly what she does to me. And it was kind of step by step, but in guidelines, she knew like the standard, you know, like she knew exactly what she did. And I really liked that. So I asked, and she said, if you would like to at one day to work in somewhere in a beautiful, like good spa, like this one, they will ask you about CDESCO certified. Certificate. And I asked them what is that? And she told me it's a pretty well world recognizable certificate for beauty therapists. And then I start my research to have a look. Then I found another certificate, something similar to C desco, I can't remember the name now, but it was for me too difficult. I think it was only somewhere in Australia or somewhere else. I said, okay, I cannot go there to study, I need to find something within Europe. And that was CDESCO then.
SPEAKER_01That's a great idea. And maybe if uh someone of our listeners, they're thinking about entering our beautiful profession, it is a great advice. And CDESCO actually it's very they have really good reputations, they are one of the oldest educational systems in the whole world. And no one is flawless, but CDESCO is really the one of the very best. It's a world agree.
SPEAKER_00I guess it's also because they are fundamental for their core knowledge, because first of all, we learn anatomy, chemistry, how to do diagnostic. We practice with clients every day because we have real people as the models coming to us and we have to proceed the treatments on them every day. From facials, all massages, PD cure, manicure, everything, walks in, working with machine. So I think it's very important, but also I find them as a deep science-based as well. Not something which is right now trained and some schools can take and it's not kind of TikTok academy.
SPEAKER_01It's really old-fashioned. It's old fashioned, yes. And how long it takes? It's a couple of years, right?
SPEAKER_00I did it took me one year. No, I didn't. I think it might change during the time, so I don't know how what is it, how long is it? But I think you can be flexible. You can go step by step. I think they now just do for the face or for the body or for both. And this is depends as well for how long it goes.
SPEAKER_01And what did surprise you most when you started learn your new profession? Was it something like unexpected?
SPEAKER_00For me, it was everything from the scratch. So for me was everything unexpected. So I was there, just my big eyes, big open ears, just getting the information, and was unexpected that still now. But actually, I am amazed by that. Because this profession, we have to learn, we have to study continuously. And this is a love actually, because there's a lot of new things coming out. It's a lot of the proof from science every year, about new ingredients, about the new machines, about the new way of treating people. And this is, I think, it's uh something is very exciting.
SPEAKER_01It's great because it's kind of source of growth, professional and personal growth. Absolutely. And also it is a helping profession. So I seen somewhere the rating of happiness, professional rating of happiness. And I was so happily surprised to see that beauticians they take one of the first places in this rating. And when I started to think about, I understand why. Because we help people, we help people, yeah, and we really help people to feel happier, to feel relaxed, to be less stressed. But in the same time, we don't mean this huge responsibility as I don't know, cardiac surgeon, yeah, neurosurgeon. Because I remember I switched to skin care and skin practice from cardiology. And my first month I was like, oh my god, no one died. I don't Well, maybe it's a positive sign of Yeah, it's a positive sign, definitely. But also at the same time, it is a kind of positive responsibility, which I think that's what is really makes good professional, not even good, but outstandingly good professional, not only technique and practice and knowledge and good character and everything, but also this skill to help your clients to share this responsibility with you, because it's so many people who think that they can delegate their skin health. If I pay you, that's you are responsible to make my skin healthy and to keep myself useful. And I think it's very important to understand your limitations because we have people, but we cannot be with them like 24-7, right?
SPEAKER_00No, of course not. And we are not wizards, we cannot just uh give them to recommend them skincare routine and expect that it will work next day, just because they have correct skincare routine without lifestyle, as we spoke before about the stress and all other things.
SPEAKER_01So you start with lifestyle in nutrition. Can you name three of your favorite food? My favorite food like let's say beauty food, which you can recommend all beautiful.
SPEAKER_00It's uh antioxidants. I love blueberries. Oh, great. I love it too. Blueberries, um, you know what? I love actually, and uh lately I'm buying maybe it's gonna be also live hug from for some ones. In Muji, they sell those soups. Okay, it's not missous soup, but usually I have with me because when I travel and very late, I come to the hotels and I have nothing to eat, I will have a missoop with me.
SPEAKER_01That's a great idea.
SPEAKER_00I do it to the small sache. Yeah, yes. What else could it be? I like healthy stuff. Even like you know, most of the time when I work as a model and when people order some pizza for lunch, I'm very disappointed. Because if I eat pizza, I would love to eat very good quality of pizza, fresh. And if they bring just something which is okay, I feel like I better eat some banana and nuts.
SPEAKER_01Actually, I think that's probably that's one of the best nutrition advice everyone can get from beautician. Than if you want to eat something like pizza or or drink a cocktail, let it be the best pizza pastriel, best cocktail you can imagine. Don't eat just fair enough stuff, don't drink cheap cocktails.
SPEAKER_00Yes, true. You know, I think it's something I learned from when I was a kid, being first time in Paris, and I was living with girls from France, and I was surprised that every meal back in the days we were eating with bread, and they were eating just salads without bread. And I was like, oh my god, that was like something like life hug for me. Well, wow, the bread is really taking a lot of taste from the rest of the food. So since then I was quitting eating bread with every meal of my food because I wanted to fill the meal. Can bread be the food? Also, it's possible. From what I understand, uh, recently bread could be depends on the bread. I'm baking from east. So it's healthy, it's fermented. So you bake your own bread. Yes, that's a little corona hobby.
SPEAKER_01So the healthy food, the healthy lifestyle, and uh when you're doing online and offline consultation, do you have enough time to speak about it?
SPEAKER_00It's structured for online consultation. I have uh questionnaire I send to the people they fill out, and during the online and offline, I have where I write down what exactly I also ask about the treatments they previously have done or any medications they take. So I have a little bit of overview of what's happening. And are you asking about what kind of skincare people use? I'm not asking. I'm asking to send me pictures and I'm going through, I'm preparing myself, yes, for the consultation. And because when they come for treatment, if they like practitioner, then they will come back and they will ask for the skincare. But the most of the time from the first visit, they do not ask for skincare. And for online consultation, yes, absolutely. It's one of the most important things because I need to know what they use, what kind of mistakes they do. And most of the people, um, they don't know they have some ideas what goes after what, but the most of the time they also ask me questions like, so explain me, now I have those 12 serums, which one I have to use after what? I give them the plan step by step.
SPEAKER_01So you reorganize the shelf. I I hope so, yes. And uh now uh press is speaking about minimalist skincare. Do you feel it is a trend, or people are still excessive about the skincare choice?
SPEAKER_00Very depends on the person. I don't feel it yet as the big trend. I felt like it was some time ago. At the moment, I don't feel that. But um, it's always depends on the person because I usually ask questions and as well I can see from their skin routine how many steps they have or what would they like. Most of the people they don't have time or they don't want to use too many products, but some clients they more into Asian style, Korean style.
SPEAKER_01It's so interesting because I'm in this business for so long. Then I when I started, the conversation about skincare started from the point I already have their cream. And people really sought them if they have their cream, and by my experience, like 70% of people, it was this metallic jar, blue jar of Nivea.
SPEAKER_00Yes, exactly. It's a favorite cream of my husband before I became P therapist.
SPEAKER_01It's still so popular and it's still good, honestly, and actually, and it was so minimalist. And after we switched to this idea when Korean skincare came on the market with the whole idea of nine steps, and the same people who've been using only Nivea cream for literally everything, hand, face, body, they switched to this super complicated routine. And now it's somehow everyone is trying to find a balance, and I think it's almost impossible without the help of professionals.
SPEAKER_00You know, I really think so. Because I don't know how people, if I wouldn't be a beauty therapist right now, I'm not going to the shops to check for the cosmetic stuff. But when I'm passing by, it's just so many brands. And I guess you're also aware of the skincare business right now, it's taken the first place. It's not fashion any longer, it's the skincare. So every day we have lots of new skincare products, and everybody is amazing. And they so for yourself. So I don't know how can you choose something from only from text without having knowledge or understanding how it works. That's so true, it's so overwhelming.
SPEAKER_01It's overwhelming. Are you creators? Because it is difficult to pick up the right product for regular people, but it's hundred times more difficult for professionals to pick up the professional brand to work with, because it's such a responsibility. And me being a practitioner in the first place, I feel the weight of this responsibility, almost the burden of this responsibility. And that's why I value so much each of our professional partners, because they've been confident enough to take a risk to bring the new brand, new products to their customers. Because we all understand if something will go wrong, it's not me who will take it, it's you. So how you pick up brands, how you pick up products?
SPEAKER_00For me, with your brand was super easy because actually I cured my uh tenal dermatitis. So for me it was very easy. Like, wow, that's it. That works. Thank you. Did we uh use Redapacks, right? No, back in the time I was using um cleanser, IX cleanser, 3SA serum, and salvaderm.
SPEAKER_01So the transensitive skin care routine. Yes, oxidone serum and the moisturizer. That's the best choice.
SPEAKER_00Yes, that you found it. Exactly. That's how I treated myself, and now when I had uh recently the flare up, I started to use the redapox, and it was after one week, was gone. Just with the same cleanser, serum, redapox, concentrate, and cream. So happy to hear it.
SPEAKER_01So the choice of Metal was easy.
SPEAKER_00It was easy, absolutely. I saw it works and I was amazed, and then I started to use some other products which is more active, like energy cleanser after my in my in remission, and uh the concentrates with peptides and my eye cream. Oh my god, I just remember when I started after finishing CESCO studies, I went to work at the beauty studio. The girl she was uh injectionist and she was looking for beauty therapist because she wanted to do more injections, of course. So the first thing she told me, okay, your way of aging, you have to watch your eyes. Because your eyes, we can do some buttocks, it's gonna be fine, but uh your eyes, the wrinkles you have, the frown uh wrinkles, it will be bigger. And I said, Okay, we'll see about it. And then I started to use the eye cream, the blefer ridge, and you know I was paying attention for my pictures for um after two or three years, and the time stopped. For me, this is something to consider for well aging and something for aging, because when you see yourself on the pictures and you barely change like repos, and I have pretty active, I'm smiling all the time. I don't do any injections. You're not botoxed. No, I never stop your mimic. No, no. I can I'm very active. Oh, agree, very active, but you can see how it works and you build trust for the clients as well. When the clients they ask you and you also explain then how it works, why it works, what to do. Then it all comes together.
SPEAKER_01I sometimes I'm asking myself, do professionals specializing in injections will love this idea to stop time with topical products. I'm not sure. No. Because it's literally uh just opposite. Yeah, it is an opposite. It's most the motivation, so why you need to inject yourself if you could just stop wrinkles formation. Exactly. Yeah, and actually, it was one of the arguments because when I just uh launched brand and uh it was one product brand, my fix wrinkles fiction. And uh many of my friends and colleagues who've been specializing in injections, I started in 2009, started the brand, and injections have been popular on the market, and they literally refuse to work with and still refuse, but we are good. We have thousands of skin practitioners who love the idea and love this opportunity.
SPEAKER_00And people as well, but I feel like this time is changing, it's moving more towards the natural stuff, as I can see. Yeah, I think it's so good because people start to embrace how they look.
SPEAKER_01And it's such a huge psychological shift in the society when women starting to wake up and to look at themselves friendly. Because it's so painful when I practice myself, it's so painful to see beautiful, smart, intelligent, funny women who've been speaking about themselves like about enemies. I'm ugly, I'm awful. I've had clients who refuse to look at themselves in the mirror, despite being beautiful. And now I think that's it's really less of pressure, somehow, despite social networks.
SPEAKER_00Yes, social media is one of our enemies, I guess. No, one side that helps us, from another side is really working against us when it's put with standardization and filters and how the woman and pressure how the woman should look like. Yeah. This is something I feel actually, this is something was from the beginning of my mission for the face. To educate women, to show them that they can embrace the way they look. There is no standards, and that there is a not deadline of the age. They should just enjoy it. Never too late. It's nothing too late, yes?
SPEAKER_01Never too early, never too late to look after yourself and to be your real self. And actually, what I love about our professionals is this opportunity to be in the contact and online consultation, that's super useful. And for some well-organized person like you, with a great structure of the consultation, it's so helpful for clients. But offline consultation and offline treatments, that's another level.
SPEAKER_00Another level, yes, of course.
SPEAKER_01Which treatments is your favorite? What you like to perform, most of all?
SPEAKER_00I would say two of them. I have it's hydrophil, deep hydration, because the the woman then they see how actually their skin plumped and they surprise, and they also feel not only in the same evening, they would be next day, like 48 hours. Or sometimes next day it looks even better. It's even better, yes. And red opax, the the anti-redness one also, because then the clients can see how their skin can look calm and they feel this relief. The skin is less irritated, less sensitive, and um less red. So they also appreciate a lot.
SPEAKER_01And actually, that's a lot of science behind them. When your skin is calmed down, you are calmed down. It's not only beneficial for the skin, it's beneficial for the nervous system as well, for the body. So probably it's one of the best present you can do to yourself if you live in Berlin. Book an appointment in the face beauty.
SPEAKER_00And why the name face face? The face face, because the first idea was the face, but it was taken, and then because uh my husband is always supporting me, and he was one of the first pushing me, and he said, Okay, you're not working in the studio and beauty studio any longer, just do it by yourself, open by yourself. So he was really pushing me to do that, and I was super scared. And that's when he supports me, and uh, I got the mid there, the full package of products, and then I said, Okay, the face face, because he's my second face.
SPEAKER_01Oh, so it's and maybe you should add the little picture on dog because you have this lovely, amazing dog, right? Yes, such a talisman for the face-face beauty. Thank you, Tina.
SPEAKER_00And that's it, it's good for the skin. Exactly. That's what I was about to say. That's my uh microbiome friendly friend who is uh making my microbiome more diverse.
SPEAKER_01So if you're thinking about something to do for your skin and for yourself, take a dog, take a puppy.
SPEAKER_00Take it that's true, yes. But I would also recommend a book if somebody's taking for the first time dog, because dogs, the most of the time people are chosen by the breed, by the way they look. But it should be all about also what kind of lifestyle they have. Do they have children? How often are they live in the city? Do they go outside? Can they take the dog to the office or not? There are so many also different concerns to be thinking about it. And with Caro, I suppose you should be very active. Yes, 21,000 steps per day.
SPEAKER_0121,000 steps.
SPEAKER_00That's our daily goal.
SPEAKER_01That's an active friend. And can you bring him to your salem?
SPEAKER_00No, no, no, no. I don't do that because of hygiene standards as well. And also depends on what kind of treatments we do with.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, absolutely. If it is medical aesthetics, definitely not. But for the beauty care, it can be great. And let's formulate. With three beauty advice, which can be actual for everyone who is looking to to stop time or to slow down time for their skin, except for dogs. They're decided that in dogs it's non-negotiable. Sleep, physical activity, good nutrition, and dog. They are four pillars. But what about skincare?
SPEAKER_00For skincare, I personally recommend to all my clients is the gentle cleanser, antioxidant serum, moisturizer, and sun protection. Yeah. And I know how passionate you about the sunscreen. Passion, I think it's a big word, but you know what happened? When I was uh 14 and when I was discovered as a model, one of the big concerns was that I might not get an agency because I had too many freckles. Oh, really? You've been freckled. Yes, and uh the sun protection became already in my teenage age. It's something I didn't use any skincare. I didn't know what it's to use, I didn't have any cream, but sun protection was my main skincare actually. For sun protection, I think it's very important because, as we know, the sun triggers a lot of uh skin issues. Yeah. And I think our days since we live a super active life, or people are traveling a lot and they're going for vacation, or the UV index in the city in Berlin, it's pretty high already. And it's higher and higher every year. And higher every day, exactly. So if we want to stay young, and you know, I'm thinking like if you have a run cleanser or and you don't use SPF, you cannot stop aging. It will accelerate your aging because the the run cleanser will disturb your protection barrier. And then if you don't use SPF, you just kill your collagen.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so for the first step and last step, the most important. And also it's probably the best advice coming from you because being a model, you know about your stick. And I think it's also, if I may add, please don't invest in the cream only. There's so many people who are ready to invest in some very expensive cream, and they're like, okay, I will cleanse up my skin with shower gel, and I will buy the sun protection in the supermarket. Yeah, doesn't make sense.
SPEAKER_00Does not make sense. You just spend money for love and you're just wasting your money.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it should be the good quality. I will not say it should be super expensive, but the cleanser and the sunscreen, they should be the good quality products.
SPEAKER_00The good quality, yes. Microbiome friendly, of course. Microbiome friendly, yeah. Microbiome, it's I think uh Tina back in the days when I see, like when you say that your brand was existing since 2009. Oh my god, like microbiome peptides, who I think those cares about it right now it's people just waking up now. Okay, everybody talks about peptides, and now I see microbiomes coming in.
SPEAKER_01But back in 2009, oh my god, that's actually that's why big brands didn't support my idea. Because since the moment I've seen peptides and probiotics, I came back to big brands which I've been working with, and I told them that's the future of skincare. Everything will disappear, will be replaced by this new generation of ingredients, the new understanding of how skin functions. Unfortunately, I actually I thought it will take five years, probably. I was naive. Now, almost 20 years later, yes, this revolution starts, and I've been feeling lonely in this place, speaking about bacteria, virus, and fungi for your skin. Take peptides, and now look at us, it's trendy. But now we are speaking about new stuff, hallmarks of aging, biological mechanisms of aging. It's complicated, but I'm sure that once again we are doing the right thing, and I'm so happy and grateful for your support as well as support for every of practitioners who pick up MEDER as a professional brand because it's a big difference.
SPEAKER_00This is all science-based, it's not from TikTok as you say. Thank you so much.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's all about not only about the beauty, it is not about the pretty face anywhere anymore. Not even in fashion. Yeah, our value is in our personality and skincare. It is a self-care, right? It just helps to stay yourself, but being a happier version of yourself. Exactly, happier version. So happy, and thank you for your support. Please tell our listeners how to book an appointment with you for the consultation and how to book an appointment for the treatment in your beautiful place.
SPEAKER_00Thank you, Tina. Well, it's very easy. Either you go to my website, which is www.thefaceface.com, or via my Instagram, where also will be a link in the video for the face face website.
SPEAKER_01And also it's possible, it's possible to send you a direct message. Yes, absolutely. Instagram is always welcome. Great. So please, if you want to book an appointment with Tatiana, if you are in Berlin, the best way is to go to the face-face space. But if you are living abroad, it's still possible. And you speak English, you speak German, and you speak Russian.
SPEAKER_00Well, I would say that I speak a little bit better Italian than German, because in Berlin most of the time I speak English.
